Digital Takeoffs: Checking the Trim Quantity

Combine digital measurements with site checks, opening counts and a stated waste allowance.

Digital and Manual Checks

A digital room survey or drawing takeoff can help organise lengths, openings and corners. Check the results against accessible site measurements before ordering. Record the method and the date of measurement, and mark concealed or inaccessible lengths as assumptions.

Make the Waste Allowance Visible

List available stock lengths, joint positions, returns, test cuts and damaged sections. Compare a cutting plan with the simple perimeter total. A software output is a planning aid, not a promise of zero waste or a substitute for the provider’s final site verification.
